Social Simplicity—The Inconvenient Convenience

Imagine a world without Internet or Social Media—what do you imagine? When I think about life without the conveniences of technologies, I think about childhood. This is the last time I can even begin to imagine a world or a life without social platforms or connectivity.

As with any major changes, they all have their benefits just as much as their consequences. When I take a look back at everything, it’s hard not to mention the issues that arisen from Social Media—allowing the public an inside look into your life, firsthand.

Apparently, I’m not the only one who has noticed more of a downside with the invention of internet, Social Media platforms, etc.

How many relationships have been ruined because of Social Media? In recent breaking news, Facebook mogul, Mark Zuckerberg was said to be connection with influencing the 2020 elections.

Social Networkingpreparation for social distancing? After all, these platforms have provided us with means to communicate from a distance long before Covid-19 restrictions.

Let’s use a hypothetical scenario to take a look at the impacts Social Media can have in relationships, our friendships. So, let’s say, your significant other comes across friends requests from your exes—potentially a huge blow-up waiting to happen… Never a good thing!

I’m not the best at hypothetical scenarios—I do much better when speaking truth in reality. Just imagine though, all the unwanted attention that these platforms potentially cause—could easily turn chaotic at any moment. The worst thing you can do in a relationship is constantly bring up the past, or any exes…. well, think of Social Media as a messy ex whose out to get you at all costs… if you aren’t careful!

Social Media & networking is the new addiction. It’s become an unhealthy additive to an already toxic recipe for disaster!

Besides Social Media, there’s these Big Pharma Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc. who all have a hand in the social influence.

Honestly, the generation has become so set on technology that it’s the only thing out children know! We will never get ahead of curbing these issues if we don’t start now. However, amidst a global pandemic, we are basically forced to isolate to social media. In many ways, this Pandemic seems to coincidental once you begin weighing the options, facts, and data.
